Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, cubed
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 2/3 cups [28 oz] semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3 Tbsp water
- 4 eggs
- 5 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 c. coarsely chopped macadamia nuts or pecans, divided (I omitted this)
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; beat into the chocolate mixture until smooth. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips and 1 cup of nuts (if using). Pour into a greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Sprinkle w/ remaining chips and nuts.
Bake at 325 for 55 minutes or until the center is set (do not overbake).
