My husband requested this a few weeks ago and I couldn't deny it to him. I did
do it different, since she did it on the stove in a pot, I just tossed
all of mine in a crock pot. It is very delicious. I got the recipe from his
mother, since his Granny has since passed. All it was meat, potatoes,
veggies, and tomato juice. He didn't know that I doctored it up some
since it seemed a little too dull for me. He said it tasted just like
Granny's so I did something right!!
Ingredients
- 1 lb stew meat, cut in smaller pieces (this is just a personal preference for me, you don't have to do this)
- 3 to 4 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 lbs frozen veggies
- 1 Qt. tomato or V8 juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 Tbsp minced onions
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp beef bullion granules
Toss all ingredients into a crock pot.
Set on low for 4 to 5 hours.
HAPPY EATS! :)
